Woman sought for using stolen cards

CHAMPAIGN COUNTY, Ill. (WCIA) — Authorities want help identifying a woman suspected in a case of deceptive practices.

Tuesday, June 19, about 8:20 pm and just before 9 pm, the female suspect entered two different Walgreens and made purchases with stolen credit/debit cards.

The first incident happened at the Green Street location and the second incident happened at the Bloomington Road store. The same woman used the cards to make more than $400 in purchases.

The suspect is described as dark-skinned, black, short and thin. She was last seen wearing a white polo shirt, black pants and carrying a black purse.

She was seen leaving in a dark, late model SUV, possibly a Toyota. The vehicle appeared to have a sunroof.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers. Tipsters are always 100% completely anonymous.

All tips submitted to Crime Stoppers are electronically stripped of any personally identifying information and processed by a third-party answering service, not law enforcement.

Cash rewards up to $1,000 are paid for information leading to an arrest. Tipsters will never be asked their name and are given a secret code number to use when checking on a possible reward.
