SANGAMON & MENARD COUNTIES, Ill. (WCIA) — Police want help identifying a woman considered a suspect in felony retail theft.

Authorities released the following message:

During the holiday shopping season most retail and department stores are filled with customers making their gift purchases for friends and family. It’s also a time of the year when thieves and shoplifters think they can get something for nothing only to find out that security personnel and surveillance cameras have captured their crimes leaving them with nothing but a ride to the county jail in handcuffs. We’ve posted images on the Crime Stopper website Cashfortips.us of a female who’s responsible for stealing several pairs of sunglasses at a local vision center. Police want to identify her because when they get her name, she’ll be charged with felony retail theft. Your anonymous call to the Crime Stoppers tipline at 788-8427 could earn you a generous cash reward if your identity information leads to her arrest, and we guarantee 100% anonymity to the tipster. Call your tip in or send it to us while you’re on the website checking out the surveillance images, again you can see them at cashfortips.us.
