CHATHAM, Ill. (WCIA) — A local woman is accused of sexually assaulting two teenage boys.
35-year old Vanessa Dallman was charged with multiple counts of aggravated sex abuse. Both boys were under 17, but older than 13. Dallman was also accused of giving them alcohol and marijuana.
An arrest warrant was issued November 3, and was taken into custody Thursday, but posted 10% of her bond and was released from the Sangamon County Jail.
The state’s attorney says it’s still under investigation how Dallman knows the boys. There’s no evidence she was a former teacher or worked with children.
If found guilty, she faces up to seven years in prison and would have to register as a sex offender. Her next court appearance is December 14.
In Illinois, people can be charged with aggravated criminal sexual abuse if the person commits an act on someone who is at least 13, but under 17. Authorities say it’s an ongoing investigation.
