Wind farm construction brings in money for road repairs

DOUGLAS COUNTY, Ill. (WCIA) — A wind farm isn’t just helping providing clean energy, it’s helping build roads too.

Douglas County, Newman and Murdock Townships motor fuel tax fun got more than one million dollars. They money comes from EDP renewables. They company paid so they can use the roads during wind farm construction.

The money they paid can go to road an bridge work unrelated to the wind farm.
