CATLIN, Ill. (WCIA) — A water pump was delivered to the village Monday.
The purchase was made through an intergovernmental agreement with the Vermilion County Board. It’s a back-up in case one of the village’s wastewater pumps were to fail.
It’s the first time the fund has been used. Catlin leaders plan to replace the treatment plant within the next two years.
Once that’s done, the pump will be returned to the city for any other community in the county to use.
