Village cracking down on rundown houses

Local News

LUDLOW, Ill. (WCIA) —  Village officials are cracking down on rundown properties. The board says if property owners won’t work with them, they’ll get the village attorney involved.

The mayors says they sent letters to about 14 property owners this week notifying them they needed to repair or clean up. Board members say some have already complied, while others live out of town — and some even out of state.

Officials say this has been an ongoing issue. The goal in cracking down is to make Ludlow a nicer place to live.
