Veterans’ photos needed for memorial wall

Two towns join forces to honor a fallen Vietnam soldier_84240110

CENTRAL ILLINOIS (WCIA) — Officials with the Vietnam Veteran Memorial Fund are looking for photos of area vets. They’re for a virtual photo wall.

It’s meant to honor  men and women who lost their lives in the Vietnam War. The fund is missing photos of more than 450 Illinois veterans. 

The following are from Central Illinois:  

  • Walter L. Glass, Urbana, Aug. 5, 1923 – Feb. 28, 1964
  • Allen B. Goyne Jr., Champaign, Aug. 6, 1944 – Oct. 2, 1969
  • William C. Helm, Cerro Gordo, Oct. 4, 1950 – July 11, 1969
  • Charles K. Henson, Champaign, Dec. 30, 1947 – March 27, 1968
  • Harry S. Mason Jr., Danville, Oct. 9, 1948 – Nov. 9, 1970
  • William L. Mcdaniels, Dewey, July 16, 1948 – Sept. 29, 1967
  • Herman L. Mcintire, Rantoul, Sept. 24, 1947 – Nov. 5, 1968
  • Ferenc J. Ramm, Danville, Dec. 10, 1938 – Dec. 17, 1970
  • Larry E. Whitington, Fairmount, Nov. 15, 1942 – Aug. 20, 1966
