URBANA, Ill. (WCIA) — After 46 years of dedication, UI Police Department’s evidence custodian is retiring.
Connie Rose has spent decades working behind the scenes. She’s been with UIPD longer than any other employee there now.
She started in the detective division, then retired, but came back and took over as the evidence custodian. Her second retirement is a bittersweet goodbye.
Rose says, “I love it here. I’ve had great coworkers through the years and I’ve made lifelong friends. Just helping these men and women in their jobs has been very rewarding for me.”
She plans to spend her retirement growing her flower garden, traveling, relaxing, and spending time with her dog.
