UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS (WCIA) — Four UI students are heading to Baltimore for a national invention contest.

They’re in season three of Make 48. The group will have 48-hours to come up with an idea, prototype and marketing plan.

All four are employees at UI’s Maker Lab; a 3-D printing lab in the College of Business.

They say they hope this generates interest in 3-D printing. The episode will air on PBS.
