SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WCIA) — Bomb threats forced evacuations at Springfield High School and Grant Middle School. The threats were called in just before 11 am.
After a search, police gave the all clear. It’s the third bomb threat for the high school and first at Grant.
Just two months ago, a 14-year old was arrested for previous threats. Since then, a K-9 officer was added to the force to help monitor schools.
Students and parents say they’re fed up. The threats add up to a total of eight threats at schools in the city this year.

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WCIA) — Police are investigating bomb threats at two schools.
The district released a statement threats to Grant Middle School and Springfield High School began with phone calls about 10:40 am.
Officials say students and staff are safe, but have been evacuated to off-campus sites. Authorities say they do not feel this is a credible threat and are not sending students home.
Classes will resume as soon as possible.
