CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WCIA) — Movies got cut short for dozens of people as police evacuated a theater.

The AMC theater in Champaign was cleared out and police were on the scene investigating.

People who went to the theater Sunday were standing out in the cold waiting for information why they were put out.

Police got reports of someone under the influence making threats.

Dozens of people were escorted outside after the theater abruptly shut down.

Customers were told they will get to refunded for their tickets.
