RANTOUL, Ill. (WCIA) — Farmers from all across the world will now be heading home.
The Half Century of Progress Show in Rantoul is winding down today.
It showcased the evolution of agriculture, bringing people to Central Illinois from other states and overseas.
People who went say it was a big boost for Rantoul, and a great way to meet with other farmers.
“When you get thousands of people coming into a community like this, it’s a pretty big shot in the arm, I’m not in business here but all the restaurants hotels were filled up, I would say that it was a pretty big boost.”
The Half Century of Progress Show is put on every two years — the next show will be in 2019.
