TOLONO, Ill. (WCIA) — A high school student was arrested after saying he was going to cause harm to the school.

The 15-year old attends Unity High School. The Champaign County Sheriff’s Office says the teenager is charged with falsely making a terrorist threat. They’re not saying what he threatened to do.

Another student came forward and notified authorities. Authorities say, any time there’s a concern, it’s better to be safe than sorry.

Deputies searched the student’s home, but didn’t find any guns, explosives or plans for a shooting.
