UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS (WCIA) — A former student is suing the UI after the school dismissed him over sexual assault allegations.
John Doe’s lawyer says he didn’t get a proper hearing in 2016 after his accuser came forward. His attorney says it’s a violation of his constitutional rights.
The UI could not comment on the specific case but stated:
Respondents in sexual misconduct cases have multiple opportunities to meet with investigators, provide evidence, review information collected from others and submit questions to be asked of witnesses.
