Soup-er Bowl serves double duty

DANVILLE, Ill. (WCIA) — Cold weather is the perfect time for a hot bowl of soup.

One area church combined that with a worthy cause.

Soup lovers not only warmed their stomachs, but their hearts during the 13th annual Soup-er Bowl.

Habitat for Humanity served soup at the First Presbyterian Church.

Each bowl cost $7 and all money raised helps build homes for low-income families in the area.

The goal was to raise $4,000. No word how much was raised.
