ILLINOIS (WCIA) — It seems Secretary of State is at it again. He awarded more than $5.6 million to the Adult Literacy Grant Program to fund more than 110 literacy projects across the state.

Adult literacy projects help adults who read below the 9th-grade level or speak English at a beginning level to improve reading, writing math or English skills. Area organizations benefited from the grant.
