URBANA, Ill. (WCIA) — Starting Thursday, the speed limit on Lincoln Avenue, between Nevada and Pennsylvania, has been reduced to 25-miles per hour.

The city council approved lowering the speed limit from 30 mph in May.

A safety study done on the area also suggested putting in flashing pedestrian warnings on parts of the stretch of road. Those will be installed later.
