DECATUR, Ill. (WCIA) — Public school students learned about mental health during National Suicide Prevention Awareness Week.

Heritage Behavioral Health Center, DC Bodyworks and the schools worked together to put on assemblies for students to learn how to handle thoughts of suicide.

The program was inspired by a song by musician, Logic. Some lyrics in the song are ” I want you to be alive.”
