Shorter school week

BUCKLEY, Ill. (WCIA) — Christ Lutheran High School will have a four day school week starting next school year. Students and staff will have Mondays off. They hope to decrease the cost of transportation for parents by twenty percent.

“Our students come from 30 or more miles away in all directions and right away the cost of transportation can sometimes become cumbersome,” said Executive Director of Christ Lutheran High Sandy Spitz.

Teachers and staff hope this will prepare students for life after high school and give students an extra day to do homework and prepare for school. The school day will be about an hour longer than it was for the 2017 – 2018 school year.
