CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WCIA) — Authorities say a man wanted in connection to a shooting last month has turned himself in.
Monday, January 21, 38-year old Mario Turner was named Champaign County’s Wanted Subject after being identified as the shooter in a Christmas Eve shooting in the 1400-block of North McKinley Avenue. A 32-year old man sustained non-life-threatening injuries in the incident.
Turner surrendered to police about 1:40 am, Tuesday. He faces charges of aggravated battery with a firearm.
