VERMILION COUNTY, Ill. (WCIA) — Authorities say a shooting suspect has fled the country and is currently in Saudi Arabia.
Tuesday, an arrest warrant with a $10 million bond was issued for 20-year old Rod Al-Ruwaily.
Officials say he’s charged with aggravated battery with a firearm, three counts of aggravated discharge of a firearm and possession of a weapon without a FOID card.
Investigators say Al-Ruwaily fired multiple shots at a vehicle in his driveway on Wednesday, January 16.
One bullet struck a vehicle traveling southbound on Route 1, injuring a 28-year old woman. The victim remains hospitalized.
