MONTICELLO, Ill. (WCIA) — One school district is moving ahead with plans to show voters why school renovations are needed.

The Monticello School District is lobbying for updates to Washington Elementary School and Monticello High School.

Right now, they are in the process of developing renderings of what the renovations would look like, and should have something to show the public in a few weeks.

The changes include a new gymnasium, 12 – 14 new classrooms for Washington Elementary and new classrooms for the high school as well.
