School could see even more upgrades

Local News

PAXTON, Ill. (WCIA) — More improvements could be made at Clara Peterson Elementary School.

Wednesday night, the school board will vote whether to install new outdoor lighting, extra parking, sidewalks and road signs. It’s part of the construction extending the school right now.

They’re building new classrooms, cafeteria and a gym. If the board approves it, the cost of the outside additions will be included in the $31.4 million referendum budget.

Construction should be done in September when school starts.
