FISHER, Ill. (WCIA) — A school was put on a brief soft lockdown Wednesday.

It happened at Fisher Junior/Senior High School. The superintendent says during a soft lockdown, everyone is kept inside classrooms and out of common areas to keep everyone safe.

In a message to parents, the district said the lockdown lasted 15 minutes. They said there was a situation with a student in a common area.

The superintendent says they cannot give details on what happened because of student privacy issues.
