School board approves bonds for buildings

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WCIA) — Renovations for Unit #4 school buildings are one step closer to reality, but it also means your property tax bill is about to go up.

Monday night, the school board approved issuing $110 million in bonds for the construction projects.

It’s the first step towards spending the $183 million voteres approved in last year’s referendum.

Owners of a $150,000 home can expect to pay about $23 more per month.
