DECATUR, Ill. (WCIA) — If you want to help brighten a child’s Halloween, a local non-profit is collecting costumes and the police department is hopping on board for the third annual Boo-tique Program.
It’s put on by Project Ava. It accepts costumes and monetary donations. They go to at-risk youth in the community. It’s the second time the police department is helping.
There’s a donation box in the department’s front lobby. Leaders say they’re happy to bring joy to kids in the community. The drive lasts until October 20.
You can drop off donations to the police department, Monday – Friday, 8 am – 4 pm.
