MATTOON, Ill. (WCIA) — An area man faces charges of felony retail theft and criminal damage to government-supported property. 42-year old Fernando Lemons was arrested about 1:20 pm, Saturday.

Authorities say August 11, while at County Market, Lemons removed merchandise from the store without paying. Prior convictions of retail theft raised the crime to a felony.

Police also say Monday, October 15, Lemons punched and broke a glass window while at the Amtrak Station, in the 1700-block of Broadway.
