CHAMPAIGN COUNTY, Ill. (WCIA) — Drivers in one area might be losing a big chunk of change due to poor roadway conditions.

A study from “TRIP,” a non-profit group transportation research group, shows that the average driver near Champaign-Urbana loses nearly $1,500 every year.

This is due to roads that are deteriorated, congested, and lack some safety features.

In response to this study, local leaders will be meeting later today to discuss possible solutions.
