CHAMPAIGN, Ill (WCIA) — An 18-year old is dead after police say he was shot Friday morning. It happened on Apricot Drive, just after midnight. 

Police say they were called out for a report of shots being fired. They found Ricky Green, of Urbana, and gave him medical care. He was taken to the hospital where he later died. 

Police are going through evidence at the scene. They say they will speak privately to anyone who may have been in the area at the time of the shooting.
