CENTRAL ILLINOIS (WCIA) — State police warn drivers on I-57 to make sure they have full gas tanks.
ISP District 10 officials said in a Facebook post there is no fuel available at several exits between Tuscola and Champaign. Now, drivers are finding themselves stranded on the interstate. They say tow companies will bring fuel to you for a fee, but they urge you to gas up before you hit the road.
Exits with fuel:
- 212 Tuscola (multiple fuel stations)
- 235 University Avenue/I-72
- 237 I-74 (drive eastbound to other exits with fuel)
- 238 Olympian Avenue
- 240 Market Street
Exits without fuel:
- 220 Pesotum
- 229 Monticello Road
- 232 Curtis Road
