Police department opens shooting range to public

PAXTON, Ill. (WCIA) — Those interested in taking target practice at a police training facility are in luck.

The Paxton Police Department is opening its shooting range to the public, from 10 am – 1 pm, Saturday, June 2. The $10 per person cost covers use of the facility and shooting targets.

You must bring your own guns, ammo and protective gear. Police will be on hand for safety measures.

Only those with valid FOID cards will be allowed to shoot. Kids with a FOID card as long as a parent or guardian are with them.
