SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WCIA) — Police arrested a teenager accused of shooting a juvenile.
18-year-old Au-Quan Haley is facing charges for aggravated battery with a firearm and unlawful use of a weapon.
Police say the victim is still in the hospital.

“Springfield Police arrested Au-Quan L. Haley, age 18 from Springfield, in reference to the April 9 shooting in the 900 block of North 11th Street. The incident began as a physical altercation between two subjects. As one of the subjects fled the scene in a vehicle, witnesses state Haley fired shots from the vehicle, striking the other subject. A juvenile victim remains hospitalized following the incident. Haley is currently in custody at the Sangamon County Jail facing charges of aggravated battery with a firearm and unlawful use of a weapon.
