Person found burned beyond recognition

LIVINGSTON COUNTY, Ill. (WCIA) — A person is dead after a car was impaled on a guardrail and caught fire.

It happened at 3225 East and 1000 North Road in Charlotte Township.

The coroner says a person driving by reported it Monday about 10 am. The fire burned sometime overnight.

The coroner says the driver was burned beyond recognition. An autopsy will be performed and an ID will be made using dental records or DNA.
