Passport services reinstated

Local News

PIATT COUNTY, Ill. (WCIA) — Representative Rodney Davis (R-Taylorville) had an update on passports.

He said the county now has the ability to issue them again. Last week, the program was pulled by the State Department.

A case was made to Homeland Security to keep it saying smaller communities need access to them. The Piatt County clerk says they issue about 100 passports a year.
