CLINTON, Ill. (WCIA) — Part of Clinton Lake is back open just in time for Memorial Day. Officials reopened about 240 acres near the Clinton Power Station. People can use it for fishing and boating, but it is a no wake zone. The area was closed for security reasons after the 9-11 attacks.
Now power station officials say they have advanced detection technology. They’ve been working on opening the area for a while as a way to give back to the community.
