ATWOOD, Ill. (WCIA) — A parolee was arrested this weekend and faces more charges.
Authorities responded to a call for a fight in progress, about 8:10 pm, Saturday, in the 200-block of West Central Avenue.
Officers were told 30-year old Caleb Bowles trespassed in a residence and refused to leave. Bowles allegedly battered a teenager during a struggle.
When police tried arresting Bowles, he resisted and ran away. A citizen helped the officer restrain Bowles while he was handcuffed.
He faces preliminary charges of trespassing, battery and resisting a peace officer. Bowles is on parole for escape, burglary and theft. Additional charges could be pending.
