MATTOON, Ill. (WCIA) — Two area women face charges of retail theft.
Janella Benavides, 48, and Jennie Easter, 34, were arrested about 9 pm, Saturday, in the 2000-block of Broadway.
Police say Benavides stole items from Walmart on Wednesday, July 4. Officials say she gave the stolen items to Easter who returned the stolen merchandise to the store for cash.
Both were arrested, issued a court date and released.
