CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WCIA) — Three months after fire shut down an apartment complex, the owners say they may have a decision on its future.

Green Street Realty says it would like to tear down the Atrium Apartments and build a new complex. Owners are still waiting on insurance to see if that can happen.

Flames destroyed the building on South Randolph, in April.

Green Street Realty says the insurance company’s structural engineer said it could be rebuilt without being torn down. Now, they’re just waiting to see which option is cheaper.
