SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WCIA) — A “suspicious odor” from a backyard, led to a death investigation. Police were called to the 1100 block of W. Cook St. about 9:15pm Thursday (5/10). When they arrived, officers found what appeared to be human remains in the fenced in backyard of private property.
