CHAMPAIGN COUNTY, Ill. (WCIA) — Even though the nursing home has been sold, you’re still paying for it. A suburban Chicago company bought the home for $11 million.
The county board voted to use some of that money to pay off more than $4.5 million of the home’s debt. $400,000 of tax dollars will also be used to extend the home’s insurance coverage.
The new owner agreed to keep the nursing home running until at least 2028.
