Northeast Community Fund in Decatur suffers fraud attack

DECATUR, Ill. (WCIA)– Police in Decatur are investigating after the Northeast Community Fund announced that one of its bank accounts was subject to a fraud attack.

The Executive Director said unlawful and unauthorized withdrawals were made from their account. They’re working with Decatur police to find persons of interest.

They’ve since closed their compromised account and recovered the money that was stolen.
