Nonprofit offers ‘hope’ through resources

VERMILION COUNTY, Ill. (WCIA) — A new nonprofit hopes to get you connected to the resources you need. 

Hope Lives Inc. says there are many people who simply need a little extra help and it wants to be the bridge to get it done so people don’t fall through the cracks.  

The nonprofit will benefit people in the east central Illinois and west central Indiana. 

Hope Lives Inc. is calling it a community effort. 

It’s still in the early phases, but are ready to get you connected to who or what you need.

The executive director, Dana Schaumburg, has already done this over the years and says it’s been on her heart to make this a reality for the community so they’ll have the hope they need. 

“Being able to walk them through the system of do I need to have a certain type of paperwork sometimes people don’t even have a social security card or license, you know something basic like that and basically hope is for hope, opportunity, perservance and education,” says Dana Schaumburg. 

The Hope Lives Inc. plans to have an official location with the next few months.
