New security cameras for school district

Local News

FORD COUNTY, Ill. (WCIA) — Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley Schools are getting new camera systems this summer. School district staff said their current system is too dated, and all three buildings will be getting the upgrade. They’ll also add a few cameras in new locations, including the loading docks and maintenance entrances.

More than 60 cameras will be going in across the district. The project will cost around $57,000.
