MONTICELLO, Ill. (WCIA) — A couple schools in the district are set for major upgrades.
In March, the district got the green light from voters to renovate and expand Washington Grade School and Monticello High School. It was originally built in 1924.
Renderings of the projects have been released. The high school will include a new gym; Washington gets 12 new classrooms.
The entire project costs nearly $30 million. The estimated completion time is the 2020 – 2021 school year.
