SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WCIA) — Fifth Street Renaissance announced it bought a new facility to expand services for homeless veterans.

It will house female veterans and one- or two-parent veteran families on the north end of town.

The group is launching a campaign to help raise money for the remaining necessary funding for the facility.

More than $300,000 is still needed for the project.
