CHAMPAIGN COUNTY, Ill. (WCIA) — Habitat for Humanity of Champaign County has hired Chad Hoffman, formerly the Director of the Mahomet Area Youth Club, as their new Executive Director.

Habitat’s former Executive Director, Sheila Dodd, left the organization in November for a position with the City of Urbana.

Mr. Hoffman has served as the Executive Director for the Mahomet Area Youth Club since February of 2017 and had previously co-owned a Champaign business, Rogards Office Plus.

According to Habitat’s Executive Board President Kate Metz:

“We (the Board) interviewed a number of strong candidates but it was Chad’s past experiences in both the retail and non-profit sectors that made him the best fit to lead our organization.”

Mr. Hoffman, a long-time Habitat supporter and volunteer is excited to step into his new role:

Between Rogards and MAYC, I’ve had the opportunity to develop, nurture, and grow two organizations. I hope to bring my passion, excitement, and energy to Habitat to watch it grow and expand as well.”
