DANVILLE, Ill. (WCIA) — The teenager accused of killing an area man and trying to cover it up is due back in court in December.
19-year old Christopher Condon is charged with murdering 51-year old Jay Hein in February and setting fire to Hein’s basement to cover it up.
His jury pretrial was scheduled for Monday. The court decided to continue it to December 10, for which Condon was given a notice to appear.
Hein’s best friend, Treavor Burson says, “As this case moves forward, it breaks my heart more every time. This case is a bad memory of that day and his family and mine are still struggling every without him.”
