CHARLESTON, Ill. (WCIA) — A Neoga man faces charges for stealing nearly $2,000 in electronics from two area businesses in the course of one weekend.
Authorities responded to Walmart about 11:30 am, Friday for a theft report. The next day, Saturday, officers responded to Verizon Wireless, on West Lincoln, about 8 pm, also for a theft report.
Officials say an investigation turned up surveillance video from both locations showing the suspect taking two display laptops and a display iPad from Walmart and an iPhone 8 on display from Verizon.
28-year old Dustin Drum was arrested Monday, in Effingham, and extradited to Coles County on multiple counts of burglary.
