ILLINOIS (WCIA) — Police throughout the state are amping up patrols as part of Saturation Saturday. More officers will be out looking for drunk drivers.
They’re partnering with Mothers Against Drunk Driving. The Mattoon Police Department says it is dedicating its efforts to Shirley Jean Graham. She died because of a drunk driver.
Authorities want to prevent more deaths like hers from happening. Saturation Saturday ends in the morning, but people can expect more cops on the roads leading up to Labor Day weekend.
