URBANA, Ill. (WCIA) — A mini-park was dedicated at Water Street and Broadway Avenue Tuesday.
It’s 2,000 square feet and replaces an old mini-park. The design and construction were completed by public works employees in the arbor division.
The park utilizes re-purposed street pavers from Broadway Avenue. The project was designed and built by UI grad students.
The mini-park also features a limestone seating wall and sandstone boulders. Many of the plants used are native to the area.
